Nora

I'm going to speak about my friend Nora.

Nora is one of my best friends. She is 23 years old. She comes from Quebec, the French area in Canada, so she is Canadian. She lives in Quebec, but this year she is living in Madrid because she is learning Spanish. She speaks French and English very well! She is an office worker, but this year she is a student.

She is tall and she has long blond hair and green eyes. She is very kind and generous. She is intelligent and funny.
Nora has a small family: her mother, her brother and her pet! Her mother is an interpreter and her brother works for an international company. They live in a house in Quebec.

Nora's favo(u)rite time of the day is the morning, because she starts a new day! Her favo(u)rite day of the week is Saturday, because it's the beginning of the weekend. Her favo(u)rite month is April and her favo(u)rite season is spring. She also likes the summer, because we are on holidays.

Nora likes a lot of things. About her hobbies, she loves music and dancing. She likes writing songs, too! We like spending time together because it's fun. Sometimes we sing her songs. She has a beautiful voice! Nora also likes computers. She's very good at computers! She has a blog and she often posts about her day. Her family read her posts and they post comments! Nora doesn't like waiting for the bus! She hates it! And she hates shopping, too!

Nora and I like spending time together. We have fun together. And she can practice her Spanish! I am learning French, too! I like her because she's always there when I need her.

John and Amy

Amy: Jo! Why are you here?
John: Hi Amy… I need new trousers because tomorrow I have a meeting!
Amy: Trousers? I gave you a new pair of it last month!
John: Really? I don’t remember it, but… I want to see if there is any sale in the store, too.
Amy: Ok but, can I come with you?
John: Yes..., but I haven’t got much time. If I have to wait for you to go to the store, I will arrive late. You should understand it…
Amy: John, you are lying… I can feel it. Please, tell me the truth.
John: You are right. I don't want you to go there
Amy: You're so rude!

E-MAIL

Hi Ben,

How is your life? I am doing fine. I’m writing this mail because I want to explain you the film I saw last Friday. The film is called The Impossible. This is the best film in the Spanish cinema. Pepa Pig is about a family of pigs going to holidays in the farm and all of a sudden a wolf arrived to the town where they are staying. I think that there should be more films like this.
What is the latest film you have watched?
I hope your answer soon!

Lots of kisses

Lola.

Graffiti

Graffiti is just another way to express yourself as being a form of a artist. So what I’m trying to say is, graffiti shouldn’t be illegal. It’s just creative writing with colors, yea it destroys but it also builds character. If they want their property to stop getting destroyed then they should make places for graffiti artist to do their work. People should want places to be more colorful.

Some supports of allowing graffiti will let artist express themselves in a way they know how. Allowing graffiti will keep people from doing it illegally in places that are illegal. Allowing graffiti will be helpful because places could be set up where it’s not illegal.

Graffiti is gang affiliated is what some people say but its’ really not. Graffiti is what you view of it and how you feel about it. Yea graffiti started out with gangs but then smarter people decided to take it to a new level of art.

Graffiti is a way to do what you what you love just like anybody else does what they love. Graffiti is a way to blow off stress, and put all that anger and pain into your work. Graffiti is a way to show off your skill or talent or whatever you want to call it. Graffiti is a way to group up with friends and have a good time and show off your art to all your friends. Graffiti is a way to show off cool looking things such as crispy lines, or big fat letters, or just a lot of color.

Graffiti takes time, patience, talent, skill, and a place to display it.

Graffiti cans might be expensive and it might ruin your clothes or buildings, as some people say but that’s all part of the game. Graffiti is just the same as an painter painting, a rapper rap, a contractor contract. Those are peoples jobs they get paid to do what they love.

So why can’t graffiti artist get paid to do what they love to do. Why is graffiti illegal!? Why do I see people get arrested for what I believe to be there job! I thought this was a free world, yea there is limits to this free world, but why is graffiti one of those limits! If people want their stuff to stop getting “destroyed” then they should build places for them to “do work.”

Private schools

Anyone who has been a parent, will wont the best for their children and education as we know it nowadays may depend on the wealth of each family, so a frequently asked question when choosing a school for our children is to choose between a wide range of public and private schools.
First of all, a very high percentage of the population in Spain has been educated in public schools and universities with this we can see that we don’t need private education to maintain a highly educated workforce in our country.

Even though private education is well known to be better than the public one, this might be true in part. For example, in private schools teachers are more involved with students, so their attention to pupils tends to be higher. Another argument in favour is the discipline that teachers and environment teach you. You are more likely to be a right and just adult.

If you could get a glimpse of life as it was in the past, where would you like to experience it?

If Icould get a glimpse of life as it was in the past I would go to Madrid to 50/60's. I would like to see how the city was at that time and see how people dressed. I would go to malls as "Galerias Preciado". All that curiosity is caused due to "Velvet". It is about the lifes of the people working in that fashion store.
After seeing Madrid I would also like to go to the time of my parents and see how they were when they were my age. Maybe we would become friends. I would like to be born in that era.

Describe your favourite shop

My favourite shop is Fashion Pills. It's an online shop and I like it a lot. It has got differents styles that I wear everyday. It's a bit pricey but it has good quality. The shipping is free and the packaging they send the clothes in is beautiful. I bought a pair of shoes and sunglasses.
I had a problem with the purchase but they contacted to me to solve it. They were friendl (I think this is an important point).
There are more online stores (Romwe, Sheinside, Asos..) but they are expensive or bad -quality.
